Our Family and Travels
To date, we have made three trips to Europe. The first was for two reasons: 1) we wanted to see Suzie's brother, Jeff, and his family. They live in Frankfurt, Germany. And 2) since our timeshare in Hawaii was still under construction and we couldn't use our week there, we traded it for a week in Normandy, France. Since we were going to be in Europe anyway, why not add England, too? So that is what we did.
In 2009, we got a deal on a cruise on the western Mediterranean with our Park City week. We have never been on a cruise before or since. Not that the cruise was bad. It was good. We might go on a cruise again, but we have no current plans to do so. We flew to Rome and then the ship went up the western end of Italy, to Nice/Monaco, Barcelona, then ending at Malaga, Spain. We then flew through London to get back to Rome before going home. (There were no direct flights from Malaga to Rome. Go figure.)
In 2015, it felt like it was time to visit family in Germany again. So we did. This time just going to Frankfurt.
2022 saw us touring Italy. We stayed in Rome, Pompeii, Florence, Venice, and Stresa (Lake Maggiore). There were side trips to Capri, Sorrento, Pisa, and Verona. Our final stop was in Frankfurt where we visited Suzie's brother Jeff and his wife, Marian.
