Kuehn Christmas Letter 2025
Our grandchildren are getting older and so are we. They are doing well in school. Their leisure time was in physical play, but is now transitioning to electronic play. Kyrie has a new job at Michael’s.
Craig won a gold for his 2022 Negroamaro and a double gold and Best of Class for his 2023 Barbera at the California State Fair. This year he made more Negroamaro and a dry Riesling. We ran out of the prior Riesling. We don’t drink a lot of white wine. We continue our membership in the El Dorado Home Winemakers Club, where Suzie is now Secretary.
We did our usual stays at Lake Tahoe, NV and Park City, UT. In May we stayed at Las Vegas, but saw the Sherri and Kendall and Craig’s mom in Mesquite. Louise is now 94. We visited the big island of Hawaii. Kilauea was erupting, but not when we were at the park. We stayed again at our Newport Beach timeshare. While there, we caught a Dodger playoff game. Again, the Dodgers ended up winning the World Series. We attempted a whale watching trip, but were thwarted by high waves.
Suzie continues being part of the prayer ministry at Faith, Cameron Park. She continues as the chapter president of the Daughters of the King there.
Craig continues to serve as chaplain to the Sacramento chapter of the Blue Knights law enforcement motorcycle club as well as a chaplain in the Sierra Chaplaincy covering El Dorado County SO, Placerville PD, South Lake Tahoe PD, Folsom PD, the El Dorado County fire departments, and the Gold Discovery State Park. Craig continues to supply at Trinity, Sutter Creek and as an Associate Priest for Faith, Cameron Park.
It seems like our current times chaotic. At Christmas, we look for hope in an uncertain world. Jesus’ family dealt with political tension in the times he was born. May we look to a future where we can find ways to lift all of humanity.
Have a merry Christmas and a happy new year.
