Kuehn Christmas Letter 2024
As old age would have it, both Suzie and Craig had cataract surgeries in the spring. The world is much brighter now.
Our grandchildren, Astrid and Brodie also getting older. Astrid turned 10. Where has the time gone? Brian had back surgery and is doing well.
Craig won silver and bronzes for his riesling and petite syrah, respectively, at the El Dorado County Fair and the California State Fair. This year he made the usual negroamaro and is adding a primitivo from the Cordi vineyard. We continue our membership in the El Dorado Home Winemakers Club.
We did our usual stays at Lake Tahoe, NV and Park City, UT. In May, it was our usual trip to Mesquite, NV for Craig’s mother’s 93rd birthday. We were at our timeshare at Poipu Beach in April. Our niece Alex and her friend Alix stayed with us. We went to Newport Beach, CA in October. While there, we attended game 5 of the National League Division Series at Dodger Stadium where the Dodgers defeated the Padres. They went on to win the World Series.
Suzie continues being part of the prayer ministry at Faith, Cameron Park. She continues as the chapter president of the Daughters of the King there.
Craig continues to serve as chaplain to the Sacramento chapter of the Blue Knights motorcycle club as well as a chaplain in the Sierra Chaplaincy covering El Dorado County SO, Placerville PD, South Lake Tahoe PD, and Folsom PD. Craig continues to supply at Trinity, Sutter Creek and as an Associate Priest for Faith, Cameron Park.
The world seems darker now. Nuclear saber rattling is really pointless. No matter how bad things seem, the light of Christ burns bright. At this time of year, may that light burn bright in the night, lighting our hearts as we prepare for a new year.
Have a blessed 2025.
