Craig and Suzanne Kuehn

                Our Family and Travels

Suzanne was born in Salt Lake City, Utah to two great parents Cliff and Ileen. She graduated from South High School.  Met Craig her husband at the Campus Christian Center at the University of Utah. She was so amazed to meet another gentile(Episcopalian) in the city of Zion that she didn’t know what to think. Suzanne tried out college for a short time at the University of Utah then she put college on hold and took the opportunity to work at Mountain Bell full-time.  Craig was enjoying his computer programming job. Craig asked her to marry him and she said yes. After they were married the computer adventure of many moves started. They lived in Salt Lake for a short time then Suzanne transferred her job to Ogden Utah for about six months. Then before they knew it they were moving to Ely Nevada for Craig’s computer expertise. Ely was a  small mining town that was where she and Craig bought their first house. Ely had slot machines in the grocery stores what a concept.  Suzanne had their first child Stephen. Stephen was such a joy. He was truly a gift from God. Stephen was developmentally disabled. Before she knew it there was another move back to Salt Lake after 3 years in Ely. Back in Salt Lake Suzanne had an opportunity to go back to work at Mountain Bell for a short assignment  and three years after Stephen was born, Brian was born. Before she knew it, about 3 years later Suzanne had the opportunity to move to New Jersey for Craig’s job. They only spent about 10 months back east but saw so many historical landmarks and of course went to the Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade. Then back to Salt Lake. Back in Salt Lake Suzanne had an opportunity to go back to work at Mountain Bell again then decided that she needed to go back to college. She started the University of Phoenix’s program.  Then the next move happened, this was Craig’s change in career to get his Master in Divinity. In Berkley Suzanne was working full time for Kable News Company and going to school.  The Berkley move was great.  Suzanne found new friendships and her favorite place to take guests was a hands on museum that was behind Lawrence Livermore Lab, with a breathtaking view of all three bridges on a clear day. After Seminary the new career adventure started. Yuba City was where Suzanne finished her BSBA and started working full-time for Family Support in Sutter County and later on Victim Witness in Sutter County, Colusa County, and El Dorado County. Craig started out with 2 churches and eventually that grew to four churches. Suzanne found it was best to keep a date book handy so she didn’t forget which church to go to. It was a great time meeting all of those wonderful people who made up the four churches. Then they moved again to the beautiful City of Placerville.  Craig was made rector of Episcopal Church of Our Saviour.  It has been a great time being part of such a historical church, 150 years old.  Suzanne retired from working at a workshop for developmentally disabled adults and loved it, writing grants, accounting so many hats. Suzanne with Craig’s help raised two champion Portuguese Water Dogs who took up a lot of  time. Suzanne even had to learn how to groom them.

Our Family (Pt2)

(From Craig's page:)When Stephen was moved to the Salt Lake facility, it was dangerous for him. He was abused by other residents and one time almost killed. This prompted his move to a facility in West Jordan, UT. This was a much better situation.

Stephen died of an internal infection from an ulcer in March of 2001. His remains are at Church of Our Saviour in Placerville, CA.

Brian graduated from Yuba City High School. When Suzie and Craig moved to Placerville, Brian stayed. He later moved back to Salt Lake. He then moved to Salinas, CA. While there he met Kyrie. They married in July of 2010. They now live in Sacramento, CA, raising our wonderful granchildren.

Suzie has one brother, Clifford Jeff, who with his wife and son live in Frankfurt, Germany. Both of Suzie's parents have moved on to a new life.

Craig has 4 brothers and a sister. They all live in the Salt Lake area. Craig's dad has a new life, while his mother lives in the Salt Lake area.

Now Craig and Suzie will enjoy retirement and the joys of aging.
